Moving master socket upstairs

We have just moved into a old Victorian house and my son plays online gaming he’s wanting the master socket upstairs for a better connection how can this be done

You would have to ask BT to arrange an internal shift of the master socket. This would be done by Openreach, and there would be a charge.

It would be cheaper to run your own extension cable, run an Ethernet cable, or use a couple of broadband extenders.

An internal extension cable would not have any impact on the connection speed, provided its run directly from the master socket.
