Moving to New Build - No "active" Postcode

Go to solution

Moving to a new build ( single dwelling development) in January. Open Reach have done their survey and need to put in the cabling. Will not procede without an order from BT.  Spoke with BT and they will not accept and raise an order without an active Post Code....as the post code cannot be activated until I  move in  it looks like I will not have telephone landline and broadband for some time. Bt and Open Reach need to get their acts in order. How can I  progresse this other than going to a cellphone service?

@christo

You need to register your address with the Royal Mail first, and get it added to their database.

Nothing you can do, until you move in.

Do you know whether the developer has liaised with Openreach, to have FTTP (Fibre To The Premises) installed, that may not happen if its just a singe plot. If not, it will just be a normal copper connection.
