Hi, my Mother in law has recently moved into a nursing home due to suffering from dementia.
Therefore she no longer needs her home phone line.
Is it possible to cancel this without having to spend an hour on the phone.
I do have her last bill.
I would like to achieve this fairly swiftly as according to her bill someone has been using the phone line to make long distance calls.

Unfortunately you can not cancel on line. You will have to phone BT.
Try 0800.800.030. They should be able to help.
