Hello
I'm in the process of sorting out the accounts of an elderly relative. It turns out that for over ten years he has been paying for two phone packages - one from BT, and one from TalkTalk (originally sold via OneTel).
We have canceled the TalkTalk service, and have sorted out billing with BT, who have been very helpful.
However - at the moment all voice calls on his landline (other than BT services, 1571 etc) are routed via TalkTalk. From a lot of Googling I understand this might be due to a Carrier Pre Select setting on the line.
TalkTalk have been unhelpful and have little incentive to assist as we're shutting off their service. Is there any way for BT - who own the number, and receive the line rental, etc - to cancel the CPS and return calls to being routed normally? Does anyone know how this could be arranged?
Thanks very much in advance for any advice.
Tom
Hi @trse12 and welcome.
Thanks for posting. The CPS can be cancelled by our Value team. You can contact them on 150 and ask for the value team.
Cheers
David
Hi David
Many thanks - will give that a go.
