You may very well be right though I don't really know what might have caused that.

Is this something at my end or is it at the exchange? Tech support said that engineers are working on a fault at my exchange, one that is affecting other customers in my area too. Is what you are suggesting consistent with that?

if its a loop on the mdf ( exchange ) then possible adsl card has gone faults tams block etc
