Re: Phone line dead, over 2 week wait for possible repair

Go to solution

I'm having similar issues.

I had a BT line and Infinity Broadband for less than 24 hours before a line failure; in my case this means I can't earn money as I need the net to do my job, as does my girlfriend, who has similarly suffered a financial loss.

Apparently things won't be fixed until next week; which is totally unacceptable.

I've requested that BT cantact me to discuss things, including compensation, but apart from automated responses and one, quite frankly insulting one that was obvioulsy cut and pasted from a standard response; I'm not getting anywhere.

Perhaps the only thing that will get things moving is to stop going through the proceedures BT impose on customers, and go straight to initiating legal proceedings against the company for breach of contract and loss of earnings.

If you need Infinity to do your job, then you really need Business Infinity, which has a quicker response time for repairs, unless you are using that already.

If you are, then you may be better complaining on the BT Business forums.

Examples of Business repair times.

Totalcare 24 hours   costs £3.50 a month extra

CriticalCare 6 hours  costs £5.00 a month extra
