Well, okay, I could add the filter, but there's no broadband contract to that house. It's just landline phone only.

Are you saying there could still be a broadband signal interference?

It "maybe" that broadband has been inadvertently connected onto the line. Could be worth a try? Once we know if the filter cures it the mods here would be able to take it up as a complaint.
