I've set up the BT 8500 without any problem and thought that everything was working OK. Then a friend who is ex Directory called on my mobile and said that when calling my home phone he was being asked to say his name and press the hash key (correctly). The problem being that it goes in a loop and continually asks for name and hash key but won't put him through !
I've just tried it myself from an unregistered phone and am having the same issue.
Anybody got any ideas or is it a case of sending it back for a replacement ?
I've got exactly the same problem on a new BT8500. Calls on phones in the contact list are coming through, but for another phone (a mobile), it gets stuck in the loop - asking for a name and # key. I went through that loop a few times, and eventually was cut off. No response on the home phone, or indication of an incoming call.
Did you get your problem resolved? What was the answer?
