As @JohnC2 has reserved the number for your case, then I cannot see any issue based on past experience.
Numbers are physically mapped to each exchange concentrator so if people remain at the same address, then they will still be connected to that concentrator.
The initial temporary number will be on the same concentrator, and this is needed to prove the connection. Renumbering is simply a software change which happens overnight once the command has been issued.
It's rather old technology, but it usually works. Renumbering happens every day for various reasons.
Hi @GMann80 I was just looking to get the call rolling to get the line connected as quick as possible. If you wish to wait then one of the team will be picking up your case shortly and they will give you a call to explain things.
Could you give me a call back please
Thanks for taking my call.
Please let me know the order number via SMS once you have been able to place the new order for service on BT.com.
Matt looks like the connection went through ok yesterday.
Can you give me a call or let me know about the process for securing our old number now.
I hope you are doing well?
Everything should be up and working on the correct number now. Would you be able to check with your dad to make sure this is the case?
I have sent you a private mail to explain the first bill also.
