Provided you are a BT Retail customer, then ringing 0800 800 151, should enable you to report a fault.

They are the only BT employees on this forum, and are based in the UK.
All faults will be passed to Openreach, whichever provider you use. Its possible that the reporting system was down.
The fault reporting line is 24/7, but is likely to be busier later on.
