Just wondering if anybody has any ideas before I call an engineer. I have carried out the online check of the line and BT advise all is OK.
I have one telephone socket, therefore it is the Master Socket (fitted by engineer about one year ago). I use a filter for Broadband and telephone. All was OK until recently, now I can receive calls but the dialling tone cuts out when trying to make a call (and I have tried both corded and non-corded phones.) The same problem occurs when I plug the filter directly into the test socket. I have also tried a different filter.
However, if I turn off the BT Broadband Hub and also plug just the phone directly into the socket I can make an outgoing call.
