I recieved an email today to tell me my account was being closed (apparently I requested this; I didn't).
My phone is already dead and I expect the internet will soon follow. What can I do?

Contact BT ASAP, ring 0800 800 150 and ask what's closed the account, anyone on the forum can only guess.
It's either non-payment or someone has done a working line takeover, if it was a takeover you would of had several warnings though, you get a text, email, automated call and letter informing you someone wants to takeover and BT can stop them if you get in touch.
