Re: discontinued number

Welcome to this user forum.

If you have printed the wrong number, there is nothing BT Retail can do about it, I assume you get your phone service from BT Retail?

Are you a BT Business user?

That would not help. If you are running a business, you should already be with BT Business.

Who actually provides your phone service at the moment?

Then why are you posting on a BT Retail user forum?  BT Retail only deal with their own number ranges, and cannot help with other Service Provider`s numbers. You need to contact your own provider who look like they are just a VOIP service.

I cannot see how anyone on this user forum can help with this.

If the number you have printed is owned by BT, and is discontinued, then you would not be able to take it over, as it may have belonged to another customer or business in the past, and would not be re-allocated for a very long time.

All I can suggest it that you reprint your leaflets with the correct number.

See my last post. There is nothing that can be done about this on this forum.

The number may not even exist on the local BT exchange, as each exchange has its own unique number range.

You could always try posting on the BT Business forum, but I doubt that anyone would be able to help.

See this post https://business.forums.bt.com/t5/Phone-lines-and-services/Buying-business-telephone-number/m-p/8173...

Try BT Business, they may be able to help, provided the number actually exists on your local exchange.

This is only a BT Retail customer to customer help forum. Your post here does not go to BT retail or BT Business.
