I've just spent an hour on a mobile phone trying to report a fault on my landline. It's incredible that it should take so long.
Every 12 months or so, outgoing service fails and I can't use the phone for days. Is this because BT bodge the repair of their equipment and does the fact the doors to the street cabinet don't shut have anything to do with this recurring problem?
Would a different supplier just make this recurring fault even more complicated?
BT Retail do not provide or maintain the external network. This is done by Openreach (A BT Group Business) who work for all Service Providers apart from Virgin Media. BT Retail do not get any special treatment.
The fault would always be there if you are using a normal phon line.
