Hey, why can't I cancel my 1471 service?

I don't want it and the lady on phone said I can't cancel it...

Bt graphite 2500 and pin lock?

Can I lock a BT Graphite 2500, so you need a pin to use it? Not as in keypad lock...

Its a free service and part of the normal package, why would you want to cancel it?

Use 1471, write down the number, put the phone down, then call them back. You do not have to use the callback facility.

Re: 1471

Sry but you have not read my reply... my family insist on using it ,1471/3, or forget about its costs , even though the phone has a redial funtion which is easier to use and free... My point is why cant I opt out of 1471?

BT didnt activate it until I switched to infinity, even though my previous Broadband package (for 3 months) was inclusive of 1471. So if they can activate it, why can't they deactivate it? I spent 3 months without when I should have had it, and thats what I'd like to regress to.

Re: Bt graphite 2500 and pin lock?

Hey thanks, but no thanks...

Seems Bt has taken away power from the bill payer...

I don't want my kids using 1471/3, but I cant cancel it...

I dont want my kids phoning mobiles, but I can't PIN lock my BT phone.

I remember a time when it was easy and free to do this stuff, but not now... BT have special service for you if you are prepared to pay...

So I guess BT know there's money in kids making mistakes with the house phones...

Well done... on for your loss...
