I shall have a play once that game is finished and see if i have a setting incorrect.
I may have misunderstood what is being said, but the Man City game this evening is in HDR on the XBox and also on my LG TV [albeit wrong framerate on both and effectively unwatchable on the latter unlike recorded UHD content]. It is in HLG on both Sky and Virgin Media broadcasts.
On the former two it is about the sixth option on the live broadcasts line, after the other games including the non-HDR Man City game.
Found a few settings and now have HDR too. Looks dapper !
Sorry - the Man City was HDR - Man Utd tonight is not but Arsenal is. Also Rangers on Thursday.
It is usually when the British team is at home.

UHD catch-up material has now got it's own rail and doesn't seem to be a part of other rails.
The is no UHD rail on Amazon Firesticks or SkyQ.
Still no HDR on Fire TV 4K Max on Ultimate. Atmos seems to have stopped working also.
Having to use my Xbox to get HDR and Dolby Atmos working.
No UHD/HDR on SkyQ either - and no ATOMS I believe.
Perhaps - Discovery+ never had a long term plan for UHD/HDR, just initially release a working verson as a part of the contractual migration from BT Sport app to Discovery+ app.
I'm sure WBD could post here if I presume incorrectly.
Before people say Roku has it - so did Amazon!
A bit of an update to this.
A new version was released on 19 Oct and I've installed on both generations of the 4K Max.
It still doesn't work on the original Amazon Firestick 4K Max - but does work on the new 2nd generation 4K Max.
Asking for an update from Discovery Support regarding the removal on HDR from the Firestick - git this reply:
I have checked with my team, and I am sorry to inform you that Firestick 1st Gen issue is no longer supported.
Thats a bit.......ouch, if true.
