Is the BT SPORT ESPN channel the same as the ESPN channel shown in the U.S

No the BT Sport ESPN  channel is part of the BT family of Sports channels   although it does show a lot of sport content that EPSN have rights to broadcast in the U.K.

So why are they calling it BT Sport ESPN as if ESPN own it
