BT TV App Extra for free email

Go to solution

Hi,

I recently signed up for the BT TV App Extra for an additional £5 a month, this morning I received an email offering me this service for free. Can someone on here help me to get the £5 monthly fee removed from my account and enable the extra for free?

Thanks

PJ

Hi @McG welcome to the community and thanks for posting, was there a link in the email that you need to click on to place the order?

Hi,

There was indeed, if I make the order via that will it cancel out the fee I am currently paying for the service?

Thanks

Thanks, I have placed the order. It just showed as costing £0.00 but I am not sure if this will deduct the £5 i was already paying, I guess I have to wait until the next bill to find out?

I will report back then if I have any issues.
Thanks

Lets hope this was not a scam email, and you have passed your login details to a third party.

If  it asked you to login, and then directed you to the standard secure BT.com ordering page, then there is reasonable chance that the email is genuine.

You should have received an email acknowledgement from BT, almost right away, with an order number. If you did not, then I would be very suspicious.

Looks like this didn't work, I am still being charged for the app extra, can someone help me get this charge taken off my bill?
