Mmm... interesting... I would not be surprised to the AMC channel go from BT!
Why, well since the BIG BT PR announcement of AMC and the great bright future, with loads of AMC exclusives, the reality has been pretty underwhelming, and I know from public records that the viewing figures for the AMC channel are very low, appalling low...
Just to shed some light on my comments about poor viewing figures for AMC.
Viewing figures for all channels as made available via BARB for July 2019, the viewing figures and Share of total viewing viewing where measured as * a * symbol means the figures are so low that they can not be record... crumbs...
For people who don't know whey BARB is... here is there own description from their website
"BARB is responsible for delivering the UK’s television audience measurement currency. We commission research companies Ipsos MORI, Kantar Media and RSMB to collect data that represent the viewing behaviour of the UK’s 27 million TV households. Each year, £7.5 billion is invested in the production and distribution of programme and commercial content, which is guided and accounted for by our data."
As a BT Sport subscriber via Sky I think this is a selfish and greedy move by BT as I am now expected to pay the same amount for less.
Good mind to cancel altogether now.
I can understand people's frustrations but it has to be remembered that AMC was thrown in as a FREE BONUS channel to SPORT subscribers. The removal doesn't affect any aspect of BT Sport, which is what your subscription is for, with AMC only being a bonus offered at the time. AMC is an entertainment channel, not sport.
Like I said, I fully understand people's frustrations. Any loss of any channel isn't ideal.
