Re: Do not get BTSport you will be locked into a new 12 month contract

"Free" is a more convincing marketing tool than "inclusive".

Of course it is. And marketers will say anything they can get away with it. It does surprise me that the ASA allow it actually. There have been a few complaints in the past. In fact, I seem to remember sky complained about BT using "free" in the initial BT sport adverts.

But they don't just say "Free" it's a Free with conditions, you have to read the whole sentence to get the true context not just the one word. So if you already have BT Internet then there is no additional charge therefore it's "Free", likewise if you take out BT Internet you can get BT Sport without incurring an extra charge I.e. "Free". Conversely if you don't have BT Internet then to get BT Sport you have to pay for it I.e. It's not "Free".

How can it be free when BT's prices have all gone up to pay for it?

How did you order the sport, by the way? Was it over the phone or online?

Well, that is why they make the print small. If they wanted people to read it then they would make it normal sized print so I have every sympathy with you.
