Received wrong TV Box?

Hello,

My broadband and TV package was activated yesterday - I'm on Fibre 1 with VIP TV Package. 

I was under the impression that I would be receiving the 4K TV box, which is ultimately why I went with this package.

The box I have received is DTR-T2100 which only appears to output 1080p content? Is this correct?

I've tried calling but it is an absolute nightmare getting through to anyone!

Yes that would be the correct box for the package you have taken.

Thanks for the reply. Are you able to clarify why? I'm not sure I understand.

The VIP package includes BT Sports Ultimate in 4K and is listed as coming with a 4K TV box? The box I have received won't allow me to view this content?

Oh, ok yes you are correct, my mistake. I would reach out to BT and get them to replace the box.

You should of received the 4K TV box.

"All TV packages start with our 4K recordable TV box, Freeview and AMC." (https://www.bt.com/tv/add).

As you are obviously aware, the T2100 is HD not UHD. You have therefore been sent the wrong box.

No 4K boxes in stock, advised to call back at a later date and try to get one.

You either got a CS rep who hadn't a clue or who simply was too lazy to order you a 4K box. Well done @DarrenW  for stepping in and ordering an "out of stock" box for you. You couldn't make it up when it comes to BT's phone jockeys 🤣
