btsport.com Eh?

So a few days after I succesfully got BT Sport working on the Sky Box, I get a letter from BT

Find out more at btsport.com presumably they mean www.btsport.com

And Watch BT Sport online too at btsport.com presumably they mean www.btsport.com

And? what do we get on the net Sorry, the website wwww.btsport.com cannot be found.

How can those THOUSANDS of letters get it wrong?

sport.bt.com/   page seems to work, so let's have a look....

and on that page I almost Downloaded some Video Converter software which had a big ad on the right hand side. Really irresponsible of BT to have such an ad on the first page one goes to about the on-line service....

now I'm prompted to download Microsoft Silverlight

Can someone advise what that is. Does it cause any PC problems?

Re: btsport.com Eh?

LOL, they mean both btsport.com and www.btsport.com but not wwww.btsport.com

You need Silverlight to view BTSport

Re: btsport.com Eh?

btsport.com works fine for me. Most browsers will make sense of an address which misses out the www these days.

Silverlight is the video processing engine used by the BT streams.

How can thousands of letters get it wrong? They don't write them individually, you know.

Re: btsport.com Eh?

No, you are both missing the point the letter says/means go to

www.btsport.com

but that doesn't work!!!!!

it should be  sport.bt.com/

Re: btsport.com Eh?

www.btsport.com works fine for me.

In your original post, your error you copy and pasted (or typed) was 'wwww.btsport.com'.

If you typed an extra w, that's hardly BT's fault.....

OK you say  www.btsport.com  'works' BUT why do they say www.btsport.com when it flips to sport.bt.com/  ??
