Discovery channel, Eurosport still avaiable on Max HD after 17th January

So the channels were due to be ceased on the 17th January, but they're still broadcasting. Seen on another post that Eurosport is being continued until June, firstly any truth to this rumour, and if so will the discovery channels stay as well?

They were only available on Big Sport and VIP with the stop meant to happen on 17th January 2022, this has been extended until an unknown time, nobody knows when they will be removed.

Max HD is an older lagacy plan that did include Eurosport, over the last few months content was removed, existing customers were notified and offered deals for the new packages, when Eurosport will cease on them is also not known, it might be any day now, it could be when Big Sport and VIP plans remove them, there hasn't been an official annoucement about it.

We were due to remove Eurosport from some of our legacy packages, and from new sales of VIP / Big Sport from 17/1/22.

The great news is that we've signed a new deal with Discovery (who own Eurosport) and this means we're going to keep supplying Eurosport on current eligible packages.

Going by what a mod has posted in the other thread, Eurosport will no longer be leaving the Big Sport and VIP packages as BT have signed a new deal. Currently no word on what that means for older legacy packages.

If it means BT Sport gets to leverage the superior functionality of the Eurosport Player app for chase-playing and catch up for its own content then that is a good thing.
