That isn't correct.
BT Sport in HD is included as standard if you buy it via Sky and always has been, you only pay extra for HD if you are paying BT for access to it on Sky.
If you buy BT Sport via Sky you get access to the normal 4 channels in HD, plus the 'Extra' channels via red button, plus the channels on any multiroom boxes and via Sky Go.
With BT you get access to the BT Sport app, then the charge is for SD on Sky on one main box, then extra for HD, then extra for each multiroom box, which is significantly more expensive unless they offer you a discount as a BT Broadband customer.
that may well be the case but it is not if you get BTSPORT from BT and view on SKY. you need to upgrade your BTSPORT with BT to HD to be able to watch in HD on SKY even though you may have SKY HD/UHD
