Best broadband choice with BT Openreach socket

Go to solution

Moving house shortly and looking for the best broadband deals in the Shandon area. The house I am moving in has a BT Openreach (5C - if helpful) line installed already. What ISP would you recommended with fast or self-install service?

@metasbals34

Welcome to this BT Retail forum.

Its not permissible to discuss other ISPs on this forum.

You need to post on a public forum like ispreview or thinkbroadband.

If you want to see what BT Retail offer, then please visit this link.

https://www.bt.com/broadband/

The socket is an Openreach one, not a "BT Openreach", as there is no such company.

You need to find providers that use the Openreach network.

Thanks

I beg to differ the answer given by Keith Beddoe. I had my BT Master Socket changed recently by a BT Openreach Engineer, on the Master Socket it clearly shows "Openreach Mk4".

@Car

sorry but there is no longer a company called BT Openreach as that was changed years ago and is now just openreach

there is no such thing now as a bt openreach engineer

Sorry, I had not realised that the “BT” part had been removed from Openreach.
But Openreach still responds to faults on BT Broadband and lines.

And most other providers as well, apart from Virgin Media.
