Good post.

Never flew on concorde, but it was equally exciting in the earlier days of the VC10 - much better and quieter than the whining, whistling 707. Later on the DC10 was my favourate.

The main problem was all the booze thrust upon you, depending on the seating class you had. Concorde was all first class.

Then the travel buffs spoiled it all by bringing up the dvt syndrome - cramped space, etc.

But the real problem was all the coffee you drank, trying to stay awake the next day.

Flew VC10 once (RAF), never had the chance to fly Concorde.

A380 is now my favourite, only flown with Qantas, but  may be lucky and fly Emirates sometime.

I have heard that Concorde may well be coming back. I am a major aviation enthusiast and love using FSX and VATSIM to fly online. I also am an air traffic controller aswell: http://www.vatsim.net

Is there a plan to purchase a Concorde from France and raise funds to restore it?? Also used Microsoft Flight sim professional version for a few years. Have been a Planeplotter fan for a number of years and use Airnav Radarbox to feed PP.
