I have just received a second email that looks like it comes from BT, however it states that BT have not been able to authorise my latest bill and ask me to choose another option. I have checked my bank and the latest payment has already been taken. How can l contact BT to check this is legitimate or not.

Just delete the email. If you hover over the link you can seewhat the link directs you to. If it is not a BT link, just delete it. I have already had 2 emails about this, even though my DD came out today.
l have since received another one for requesting payment for my tv license, which was paid six months ago. They are certainly persistent
Forward it to the phishing email sectuon of whoever it was from (ie BT), then delete it.
