my address currently has slow fibre, 1.5k from the cabinet with max speeds of 8mb. We as a community are investing in Openreach ftth, using government vouchers towards the costs. The voucher claim means we must take a connection after install of speeds 30mb+ as we are rural. My question is, can I take any package out over ftth, or am I limited to only the 140mb+ packages? There seems to be mixed messages on the web. My view was ftth is just the infrastructure and I should be able to take any package out over it, even if I only want 30mb speeds. Any thoughts? Many thanks. Ste.
ill take a wider look on the forums, thanks for providing a link.
It is a kind of retail question, as I am basically wanting to know my package options once ftth is installed. Can I take 50mb for £35 per month or must I go for a ftth specific package? The information online and via customer services seem to differ.
