The external wiring is the property of Openreach and has nothing to do with BT Retail, so this forum could not advise you what to do, as it may involve you being charged by Plusnet.
The engineers work for Openreach and not BT.
- Hi, I have opened my bt grey box outside the front door as I wanted to see what sort of set up it was as the internet is painfully slow, house is 10 years old and all it is is a load of wires with one extension running off, probably done by previous owner. Do I need an engineer?

Ah ok but the internet is very slow and drops off almost completely at night, we don’t connect the phone. The router seems ok and we have a net gear extension. Anything I can do to improve it? Thanks
