Junction Box

Go to solution

I moved into my house last year and had Virgin installed.  BT have asked if they can run cables from the junction box on the back of my house.  I wasn't home so they left a message with someone else.  They mentioned it's to connect to fibre?  My house is beside a path so I think it's easy access for them.  Does anyone know why I have to be involved at all when I'm not a BT customer?

@sandym1611

It would have been Openreach not BT Retail.

If the junction box is on your property, then you would have to enter into a wayleave agreement with Openreach for them to run optical fibre.

This optical fibre would be used to supply other customers, and possibly yourself if you decide to change your provider from Virgin Media.
