Problems with TV Soundbar

I have realised that the tv sound output needs to be connected to the tv . Once this is done then the sound quality improves however when we turn the tv and sound bar off the sound input reverts to the tv speakers. Is there a way to save the setting ? Also we have a LG DVD player which turns on when we turn the soundbar on is there a way to prevent this ? This new TV is driving me insane ha ha

Re: Problems with TV Soundbar

not sure how this is a problem for BT Retail forum

try sound bar manufacturer or tv manufacturer or their manuals

Re: Problems with TV Soundbar

Thanks I have tried all these but cannot get any sense out of them. As I am using BT view to watch the TV I thought someone may have a solution on here.

Re: Problems with TV Soundbar

Will you please stop starting a new thread every time you post about this problem, which I agree has nothing to do with BT. If you are going to continue posting please use this thread and not a new one.

The service provider is irrelevant. You would do better on a specialist site like AV Forums.

I think the soundbar problem is mainly down to the fact that it's a different make to your TV. Does the soundbar have bluetooth? It should so press Settings on your TV remote, then Sound, Sound Output and at the bottom of the list should be Speaker List. Select that and search for Bluetooth speakers and pair your LG Soundbar to the TV. If connected by bluetooth the TV should switch, but my Samsung TV picks up my Samsung Soundbar automatically so you may just have to try different things.

Unless LG can tell you if it's possible to change the frequencies on your remote controls, only plug in the devices you are going to use then it won't be a problem.

If you are referring to me, if I was being rude I would not have said please or point out what you were doing wrong or how to rectify it which I see you are now doing!
