Phone Kiosk 5g

I have been advised by BT that our local public phone kiosk/box which BT had decided to remove Dec 2019 due to low usage is no longer being removed. Instead it is having 4g and 5g installed.

This public phone kiosk/box has been a blight for the local residents as a magnet for both drugs activity and anti social behaviour for many years and residents are so disappointed it is now being kept.

Can someone explain what exactly is BT doing with current phone kiosks exactly?

Thanks

Margaret

Re: Phone Kiosk 5g

Hi Keith

Sorry I should have said BT have told me it is not going to be a Street Hub, 4g and 5g within existing kiosk.

I'm confused, any information gratefully received

Thanks
