Retro sweets...

Hey Guys

Heard from one of my friends today that it's the 30th anniversary of the Charlie and the Chocolate factory original film.

We started talking retro sweets... opal fruits before they were starburst... marathon bars before they were snickers...  How creme eggs seem to have halfed in size.. (maybe we're just bigger?!)  How you could get a 10p mix and have 20 sweeties in it... ah those were the days... 😄

What's your favourite old sweetie?

Kerry

Re: Retro sweets...

My sweetie was 17 years old -  but that was a long, long, long time ago :smileyvery-happy:

. . . it must be remembered that the sea is a great breeder of friendship. Two men who have known each other for twenty years find that twenty days at sea bring them nearer than ever they were before, or else estrange them.

Re: Retro sweets...

Gotta go with Del on this. Flying saucers and sweet tobacco were just awesome. Curly wurly shouldn't be discounted either though.
