Over the years, we have had many complex problems with our telephone service, and consequently are not great fans of BT.
However, today we were visited by Dan, one of BT's engineers and we just wanted to say that he is a fine ambassador for BT . He actually listened to what our problems were and managed to rectify them in a very logical manner whilst keeping us fully informed of what he was trying to do. Although he was working on a temporary installation that was partially completed 8 years ago, he was undeterred and spent far longer with us than he possibly should have done, in order to ensure that we had a telephone and broadband service that worked properly. We found Dan to be very professional , polite and pleasant mannered.
Let's hope BT can match their employees standards by contacting us promptly to advise us when they can attend to make our temporary supply a permanent one!!!! Well done Dan and thankyou. Tony and chrissy
Welcome to the forum, which is essentially for customer to customer help and not a reliable means of getting messages to BT. You can send a thankyou message here.
By the way, it's Openreach.
Likewise, I should like to commend the work done recently on 11 Oct. by IAN MacKay of BT Outreach. He came to fix a problem of connection of a new internet system in my flat, and he not only found the fault but fixed up the mess of unconnected wires from the previous engineer. It was work over and above the call of duty and done in good humour and with the minimum of fuss. I was very impressed. Robert Abel. Moredun flats, Edinburgh
Try here, this is the new link as the one posted above no longer works.
Feedback does get back to the engineer via his line manager.
