And now nearly a year since the last post ... it is still as the first poster outlined many, many years ago. And of course whomever marked this a solved must have his/her head looked at!
A few new observations, remarks: -
- you are not using a BT Hub so we cannot test the line
- so after re-installing the ancient BTHomeHub: you need to talk to your PC Service provider since the link test out fine
- you're not using a BTHomeHub and not the BT DNS servers so ofcourse BT Protect and Family Protect are blocking access to the internet
