YouView box lost all channels when changing provider

Go to solution

I just moved to a new home and plugged in my YouView box and after a retune everything worked fine. So far so good.

However my BT contract ended when I moved out of the old house and we opted for Vodafone broadband at the new property. Our new broadband activated today and now all the channels have disappeared.

I performed a software update and the BT services have disappeared and I've tried numerous retunes and reboots to no avail. I read that the box should still work with a new internet provider, but as soon as the Internet activated I can't get any freeviw channels. The recordings still work along with the catchup apps.

Any ideas?

@Samcobley

As you are now a Vodaphone customer, this forum cannot help. You will need to post either on the Vodaphone user forum, or the YouView public forum.

https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/

Specifically https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Other-broadband-queries/BT-youview-Box-will-it-work-with-vodaphone-f...

Normally a YouView box will take on the branding of the ISP that participates in YouView, not all do.

Your box will revert to the state as if it was a normal retail box which you bought from a shop.

Any possibility of the aerial connections  or cables being dislodged or loosened when your internet was installed/setup ?

Since you have moved home you may well be off a different TV transmitter for the freeview.

Suggest you try going into the settings menu and scan for channels
