Re: 11 Sky Movie Channels on October 26th

I'm not bragging what a ridiculous thing to suggest. I am trying to be helpful. A retune won't bring them as they are delivered via multicast. You need a software update for that to happen.

Re: 11 Sky Movie Channels on October 26th

Let me guess -  You are a BT employee that they have got beta testing them right? No doubt the terms of you getting them free dictate you can't break some NDA. So why don't you keep quiet and refrain from needlessly winding up people that are frustrated enough by BT's continuing lack of customer service?

Edit: Not you Overlook, StuartRogerson

Re: 11 Sky Movie Channels on October 26th

Cactus Bob,

You couldn't be further from the truth.
I am a retired Clergyman.
I have no contact with BT other than this forum.
I have no free access to anything.
My box has the channels on the EPG with a press to activate option which does nothing.
I am not winding anyone up.
I am trying to be helpful and to reassure people.
I am on a trial but it has nothing to do with these additional channels.
I have no information on cost.
I have no knowledge other than that in the public domain about them going live tomorrow.

Re: 11 Sky Movie Channels on October 26th

I apologise then stuartrogerson for my misplaced assumption. However your commment saying "They are on the EPG trust me" doesn't really help the situation.

They certainly are not on my EPG, and yes I have multicast and the extra channels.

Out of interest do you have a Retail Humax box?

you wouldnt need a software update for a feature we already have. We already receive iPTV channels such as the extra channels and BT Sport so it would just be a case of 'broadcasting' the new channels over the internet which would show up in our EPG.

Re: 11 Sky Movie Channels on October 26th

Just spoke to a sales assistant on the phone - you can order from tomorrow and it will be £16 a month extra. So I don't think i'll be ordering.
