This is very much a Marmite issue. And personally I don't like Marmite.
The majority who have posted comments about this change have been very anti . That doesn't mean that of the several million of users with this update the majority dislike it though, although I suspect that might be the case.
For me it is just an unnecessary & unwelcome change , especially when there are more fundamental issues to be resolved.
