Has anyone tried these and have they improved signal strength?

Re: Aerial Reception Boosters

Bought the all 4 one booster, am I right in thinking that I will need a female to female antenna lead so I can attach one end to the booster and the other end to the YouView box in connection?

We use an aerial located amplifier - is that what you mean?  It transforms the signal feed from patchy to excellent.

We also use a bandpass filter and two 4 to 1 amplifiers to boost the RF signal around the house.  IMHO you should boost the signal when you can as as near to the aerial as you can
