All Freeview Channels lost

Yesterday (Sunday) weak signal message came up and no channels watchable.

I tried to retune channels and the bar skipped across in less than 2 seconds and found 0 channels.I then tried the box on another areal facing a totally different Transmitter with the same results.

A Factory reset had no affect but gaining acces to the maintenance menu and doing a Software reset (recommended) cleared the problem and all channels were re scanned.

This evening-the same problem (doh).

Help Please.

Brian

Firstly can you see any of the internet channels that you had before e.g. BT Sport?

If you have no freeview channels take a look at: http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/help_and_advice/engineering_works#

to see if there's any work ongoing for your region.

You can also check this at http://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/ by putting in your postcode.

Can you check your aerial by plugging it into your TV directly and see if you can see the missing channels?

Re: All Freeview Channels lost

I spent over 4 hours trying all of the above sugestions yesterday morning when the fault first occured.

No Transmitter faults or Maintenenace,

TV's both working on different Aireals and Masts -(Redruth and Caradon).

Box tried on both and did get it to scan correctly after a software reset.

Then sometime during the afternoon It lost all FREEVIEW Channels again..

12 x INTERNET Channels working including BT SPORT.

Re: All Freeview Channels lost

Is your tv itself able to get the channels ?

Sounds like an aerial or cabling problem. Ingress of water to the cable can cause these problems

Re: All Freeview Channels lost

As ive stated above-TV signal to televisions is fine.Strengh over 60% and Quality 100%.

When I finaly got the box to rescan the channels (before it lost them again)the Signal Strengh was around the 60% mark and the Quality 100% so it is not a aireal or cabling problem .I have also tried it on two seperate feeds from two different aireals pointing to two sepearte Transmiters.

Software = 21.50.50

Comp =   2.9.34

Platform 1393

ISP      = 240

Resetting the Software this morning has not solved the problem.

Looks like I will have to make the Phone Call.
