Re: Asus RT AC68U and Multicast

If it did support it they would list it. Do you have the old BT modem you could connect the asus to as a test?

Re: Asus RT AC68U and Multicast

The BT Home Hub5 allows the You View to work fine if it isn't connected via the Vigor modem.

Unfortunately, BT no longer supply a separate modem as the HH5 has on built in.

I've emailed Draytek to see if there's anything I can do with it, otherwise it looks like I'll have to buy another modem, which is a shame as I've only had this one for 3 months!

Re: Asus RT AC68U and Multicast

Picking up an Openreach modem off of ebay is the best bet. Go for the Huawei one in preference though.

Re: Asus RT AC68U and Multicast

Thanks Tim.

Do you know if this will need any additional configuration, or should it work straight off the bat now that my Asus router has all the correct settings?

Regards

Brian

Re: Asus RT AC68U and Multicast

Quick update: Have now switched the modem to a BT Openreach Huawei HG612, plugged in the Asus RT AC68U with settings mentioned in the earlier post and everything is now working perfectly. Smiley Happy

Conclusion: Draytek Vigor 130 does not work with the BT internet channels! Smiley Sad

Thank you to all those that took the time to reply to my query.

Regards

Brian

Re: Asus RT AC68U and Multicast

It worked for me, but I had to change the defailt in the Special Requirements ISP Settings to "Enable VPN + DHCP Connection" to NO befiore it worked, so thank you for that.

I called BT and they were of no direct use even though they kept on telling me I had to use their router, which doesn't work for me.  Glad it's sortred, thanks to you :-)

Re: Asus RT AC68U and Multicast

HI,

Whilst not directly relevant to the AC86U, if you find this page as you're strugglinggetting your pure ASUS Router working with BT TV and YouView then here's how I fixed the problem:

I spent ages on getting this working; hence wanting to share and save other people wasting the hours I did.
