This router/modem works with YouView Box -
- Use the following settings in LAN > IPTV:
- 'Choose IPTV STB Port' = None
- 'Use DHCP routes' = Microsoft
- 'Enable multicast routing (IGMP Proxy) = Enable
- 'Enable efficient multicast forwarding (IGMP Snooping) = Enable
- 'UDB Proxy (Udpxy) = 0
Thanks to StephanieG and Sepphs posts
Worked a treat on the DSL-AC68U as well. I had to turn off the power to my freeview box and restart, and then up and running fine with these settings.
Had an Amazon voucher for Christmas and the price on the RT-AC68U was reduced, so at just over a one-er it was worth a punt.
Using the settings mentioned still did not work but thanks to Sepph's post I also had change (WAN) 'Enable VPN + DHCP Connection' to 'No'. Works a treat.
Very pleased with it so far, WiFi range is better than my Billion 7800DXL. Had to manually set port forwarding for my NAS apps even tho it is supported by Synology, no big deal and I like the management GUI from Asus.
Just to add that these settings work on the DSL-AC68U too. The router states a modem must be connect to the WAN port (instead of using the built-in one) but this isn't the case.
Players, Apps and Multicast IPTV channels all work.
I have the latest firmware on both Youview and the router. Have also set VPN + DHCP to 'No'
The only other thing I forgot to include in the original query was that the Asus router is connected via a Draytek Vigor 130 VDSL2 modem which I purchased from the BT shop specifically for this.
are you sure the draytek supports igmpv3 snooping which is required for the multicast traffic used by the IPTV channels?
