I have 2 set top boxes and noticed that the channels recieved from the aerial differ by over 45. I have swapped the boxes over and retuned and the box with only 130 channels still only recieves 130 in the location of the box receiving 175 channels. BT say its an aerial issue but I have disproved this by swapping the box locations and the problem still there. Any suggestions? i think it is box related.
Just to clarify, you have one BT youView box on which you can get 175 channels and another on which you can only get 130 channels. Both boxes being fed by a common aerial?
How are you splitting the signal, how may channels do you get if plug the aerial directly into the TV & did you swap the co-ax cables over when you swapped the boxes? In the last case (if you did swap the co-ax cable over), try swapping just the cable over again
I took the box that only gets 130 channels and connected to to the other TV with all the cables that existed at that location so I was able to compare a like for like situation. I retuned the box and it only registered 130 channels. I reconnected the other box and retuned and it registered 175 channels I halsotried looking for missing /hidden channels in the "faulty" box but nothing is missing
