Hi @DCDC I called earlier sorry I could not get to speak with you. The BTTV experts have checked and there are still to many errors on your broadband connection and have asked for a 3rd appointment to reduce these errors. I need to book a suitable appointment and will call again on Monday am when I am back in the office.

Hi John

 

Installed new equipment. No change. First channel BT Sport  1, not HD, failed after nine minutes. Second channel, BT Sport 2, not HD, failed after seven minutes.

Update.

The third engineer has just left. Like the previous engineers he confirms that the line is good. The engineers are obviously skilled, one of whom was a senior engineer and another  who deputises in management. Therefore, I have no reason to doubt them.

The engineer and I contacted the offshore call centre. After a drawn out process of spelling names and so forth they were able to verify that I am a customer. The call centre operative wanted to run tests on the box. I advised the person at call centre that the youview box was a new one and had been installed yesterday. But, run the tests we did. The result is that a new viewbox is being dispatched and I’ll receive it in a few days. 

Once I receive box and set it up I will advise you of the outcome.

Problem remedied. The BT TV people completed a card reset on the line. They will continue to monitor the line over the weekend and will contact me by email next week.
