I received the new 4K UHD box at the end of March and it works ok with 1 exception.
If I watch the Sky News channel (233) or the Sky Pick channel (11) the picture starts to break up and pixilate and becomes unwatchable. Other channels seems unaffected.
I have tried the help desk and worked through their advise and tried factory reset. No change.
Last week using the on-line-chat the guy I was in touch with said there was a known issue with the 4K box which was being looked into, and as I still hold the original BT TV box (due to covid lockdown) he suggested I continue to use that which works ok.
Does anyone else have this issue
Thanks

Solved! Go to Solution.
Both the channels affected are just Freeview channels, so unlikely to be anything in particular with BTTV, there was a post someone having issues with a couple of channels , when the same channels worked fine on the TV’s own freeview tuner ( so presumably eliminating the aerial as the culprit) and AFAIR the solution was an aerial attenuator, in effect the BTTV was being swamped with signal ( as apposed to not enough signal ), assuming your TV has an Freeview tuner, do those channels work OK if the aerial is connected direct into the TV ?
The channels work fine through the TV Freeview.
The channels work fine through the old BT Box .
The channels play up only when being watched through the new BT 4K UHD box.
I think this eliminates the aerial from the equation.
One of the BT guys on the Chat line was adamant that there was a know issue with the 4K UHD Box?
Thanks
@Blueastra0 Pick and Sky News are both transmitted on the Freeview Arqiva A multiplex.
Which Freeview transmitter do you receive your transmissions from ?
You need to check the signal quality & strength on the channels affected as pixelation is caused by a signal that is either a too strong or too weak.
Ideally your signal strength should be in the region of 90/95%. 100% would likely be too strong and under 70% too weak.
It comes from Winter Hill.
I seem to recall checking aerial channel strength and I think it was 95 or just over
@Blueastra0 if you have high signal strength or quality, you'd probably benefit from an attenuator. These are easily available from Amazon and eBay for around £10. Most people report back good results with them
Is that with the new or old box?
Worth doing a check on both.
My boxes , a T4000 & T2100 , both work fine at 94/95% but I'll check for both those channels.
Just on new 4k UHD Box. Old one works fine.
Have ordered an aerial attenuator as suggested - worth a go for £10
Many thanks
