BT TV Box Pro with Wi-Fi

Hi Everyone,

Great news! Our BT TV Box Pro is now wi-fi enabled. This means you can now connect wirelessly from your box to your Smart Hub using wi-fi.

What’s new with the BT TV Box Pro?

 

Our latest Wi-Fi enabled box allows you to:

  • Connect wirelessly from your box to your BT Smart Hub using wi-fi
  • Watch in 4K HDR, including BT Sport Ultimate, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and more
  • Listen in Dolby Atmos
  • Record up to 600 hours of TV on the 1TB hard drive, across up to four channels at once
  • Use the Bluetooth remote from wherever you are in the room
  • Browse content from all apps in one place with universal search

The new BT TV Box Pro brings all your favourite TV together in one place. Browse content across all channels and apps using our universal search, including the best of Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, BritBox and more. Plus, all your subscriptions are summarised and paid for on one bill.

Our most powerful box can pause and rewind live shows and record up to 600 hours of TV across up to four channels at once. That’s double the storage of our previous box.

The BT TV Box Pro also comes enabled with Dolby Atmos and future-ready 4K HDR. So you can enjoy all the latest sports action from BT Sport Ultimate in perfect clarity and with our best sound quality yet.

The really clever bit? It has its own wi-fi connection so there’s no need to run a cable from your box to your router. And, because our new remote control uses Bluetooth, you don’t need to be able to see the box to use it – you can easily flick through channels and menus wherever you are in the room.

If you’ve already got a TV box, why not keep it? You’ll be able to watch different things in different rooms. Perfect for keeping the kids entertained while you catch up on your favourite show.

I already have a BT TV Box Pro, how do I enable the wi-fi?

You don't need to do anything. We’ll provide an over-the-air software update to your BT TV Box Pro on 24th September 2021, which will automatically enable wi-fi on your box.

If you’d like to change your connection to wi-fi:

  • Press the Home button on your remote
  • Navigate to settings (a cog icon on the top-right of your screen)
  • Navigate to ‘broadband connection’
  • Select ‘Change connection’ and follow the on-screen guidance
