BT TV Remote Control Faulty -Recent New Contract Started

I have a BT TV Youview box that gives me BT TV and BT Sport. Had it since I joined BT nearly 5 years ago.The Remote Control has stopped working altogether, I fitted new batteries, still the same.

I can no longer use BT TV or the BT Sport and have recently started a new contract.
Will BT supply me a new Remote Control free of charge, if I contact them and tell them, if so what number should I call?

Yes, BT will send you a replacement remote control provided you still have a BT TV contract, just either call them on 0800 800 150, or use live chat.

One quick test you can do to check it is actually the remote control that is the issue is to point it at your smartphone camera and see if you can see the I/R signal on the phone screen when you press a button.

The other thing to try is to power-cycle the Youview box.
