BT TV box appears to be failing

Had our 4k box for a couple of years and had one failure that required a full software reset in the first year but fine for 12 months after.

Then recently again the box completely locked up (iPhone app showed a deleted recording to be still recording) so had to do another full reset ("factory reset" didn't work).

A few weeks after the apps stopped connecting with an error message - this time resolved by a factory reset keep recordings.

Today box appeared to be working fine but noted not recording something expected (last recorded something this afternoon). Checked the schedule and planned recordings empty. Switched off the box in the back and on reboot all terrestrial channels now missing and all actual recordings now wiped (confirmed on iPhone app).

Is this likely to be the beginning of the end for this box? Time to find a good Sky Q deal?!
