I've a BT Vision Ultra HD freeview box, which I connect to via my mobile phone and the BT Vision APP.
Up until a few days ago, all was fine, I've had to change my mobile over to a new phone, however I can't pair BT box with the APP on my phone.
I can log into BT.Com , so I know the account details are still working (I no longer have had a BT line/broadband for 4 years or more).
I'm looking to be able to setup remote recordings, even trying the Humax App, but it's looking for a reg code which doesnt appear to be on the box software.
Any ideas how I can get my BT Box registered ?

I believe that Youview removed code-based pairing in the Next Gen UI because the automatic pairing is far simpler and they wanted to move away from manual methods of pairing.
So @columritchie can you confirm the software version on your Youview box . the latest for the Bt 4K UHD iT400 is 31.28.0
Also what is the version number of the Youview app that you have on your phone.
what version of the app allows to pair over the wifi only i.e. without logging into BT
BTW I can log int my 'BT account" via laptop, just wont via the app 😞
There are 3 apps you can use (on iOS atleast):-
2. BT TV
The latest BT TV app I believe requires you to log into a BT account first but the others don't need anything like that.
I have found issues in the past when you're using multiple switches or Powerline adaptors as a fraction of a second delay can affect the pairing process.
