BT iPlayer

Hi there,

I'm afraid my brain goes to sleep where technology is concerned.

I moved and had to reprogram my bt etc. It was working fine. Then I had carpets fitted and

all the wires were disconnected - not by me -. Since then all programmes work but when I

go to BT iplayer it comes up with error message c115.

I have been online and watched help programs to try and see why this is happening but

everything ok but no iplayer,

Can anyone give me some advice please, pretty please with a cherry on top !!!

Please remember that I do not have a clue what I am doing, well when I went to school

it was when you had an ink well for fancy writing and a pencil for everything else xx

Re: BT iPlayer

Hi, welcome to the forum. You mention the BT IPlayer? Do you mean the BBC IPlayer or the BT TV Player?

Re: BT iPlayer

Logically they mean the BBC iPlayer app on the BT TV box, surely?

Thanks

Re: BT iPlayer

Logically yes but I have family who call all the apps by one generic name, "iPlayer". Confuses the heck out of me sometimes when I'm trying to find something they've recommended that they've found on "iplayer" Smiley Very Happy

Re: BT iPlayer

Hi @magsandmitz,

Welcome to the community forum. I'm sorry you're having problems with your BT TV. I've had a quick search and I can't see any information regarding the error c115. When the error appears does it show and any text indicating what the error might be?

You could try On Demand and Catch Up problems on BT TV, this will give you a few steps to check your set up to make sure you box is correctly connected to the internet.

Thanks

Re: BT iPlayer

Good morning, well I did say I was a plank!! It is BT Player that is not working.

When I try to watch it comes up with a black screen and blue box in which the

message 'there's been a problem' We're having some trouble loading the

BT player. Please try again later. BTP - 115c

take care

Re: BT iPlayer

Hi @magsandmitz,

Can you try following these steps

Try to access the BT player. Press the Home (or YouView) button, then scroll to and select BT Player

If you still see the error message then try restarting your equipment by following these steps:

-First, restart your Hub

-Wait for the broadband light on your Hub to go blue

-Restart your set top box, using the power switch on the back

-Now check if you still receive the error

If that hasn't worked check your software version is up to date.

To do this press the Home (or YouView) button, then go to Settings > Software Information > Update Software and press OK

Check your On Demand players are up to date. To do this press the Home (or YouView), then go to Settings > Software Information > Update players & apps and press OK.

Give that ago and let me know how you get on?

Thanks

Re: BT iPlayer

Surely not a plank AND a pillock @magsandmitz Smiley Surprised

No need to beat yourself up. We all make mistakes and when things go wrong it's easy to get into a muddle. You should see the amount of editing I need to do to my posts sometimes with the mistakes I make Smiley Very Happy

Re: BT iPlayer

Hi, not a problem. I did search for your original error code without success, hence my question. If you follow the guidance offered by the PaddyB. If that doesn't work then post back here.
